Petra Stoyanof

DVM / MEDICAL DIRECTOR

ABOUT

Petra grew up in the heart of San Francisco. Her first horse lived in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and she loved roaming around the park on horseback.

She went to MIT as an undergraduate with plans to get eventually get an PhD and work in academia, but decided to combine her passion for animals and science into a career in veterinary medicine. Other than two rats growing up, she never had house pets until after graduating college, when she got her first dog, a border collie.

Petra attended UC Davis for vet school. After graduating, she completed a one year small animal emergency and general practice internship. Since then, she has continued to practice in both areas and enjoys emergency & routine surgeries. She is devoted to being there for her patients, whether it’s for routine vaccines or middle of the night emergencies.

When she is not working, Petra enjoys cooking and baking, riding her two horses, reading, hiking, traveling, and working out. She also spends time relaxing at home with her husband and their house full of adopted, medically impaired Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
